Absence can make selfishness

Imagine you met the best friend you had ever had. You spend time together for 3 years and then he or she is gone.That is the scenario the disciples found themselves in the day after Jesus was hung on the cross. Can you imagine that. The weight that must have been felt. Not to mention the fact that they came to believe that He was the messiah. How dark a day, when the messiah is no longer visible. How we tend to fall back into our old selves when that is the case.Where is your messiah? Is He near? Are you even in a relationship with Him?
