An Invitation

God continually invites us into an amazing daily existence with Him. It's a peaceful place in the midst of all the turmoil and shattered moments. It's a time of rest and reflection when all else is rushed and focused on pride. 

I have realized that there is a stronghold in my life. I go to this place when I want to protect myself. It’s a place to be apart from others, including Him. It's this mental space I get into when I hyper focus on the task at hand where I have skills. I also visit this space to tell myself stories of how other people are experiencing and thinking of me. 

Today I invited God into this space.

Today I asked God to be the rest in my busy day. To be with me in the moments I am in my groove and want to be left alone. To help me stop the stories of others and focus on what He is doing. 

Today I asked God to breakdown a stronghold, but not for me. For everyone else I meet during my day. To turn my stronghold into a community garden, so that others can be fed.
